Here is the mounting solution for your KX2 radio! You will be able to insert and remove the KX2 with this mount and not need any tools other than your fingers. There are no fasteners to lose or additional tools to carry. This mount is made from the same durable Poly-carbonate plastic as the covers. This mount is FLEXIBLE and does not shatter or crack like acrylic plastics.
The mount has been fabricated with AMPS standard 4 bolt pattern and molded bolt head retention. This allows the KX2 to be mated to a variety of surfaces/objects using any of the base units (supplied by the user) of your preference from companies like Lido, RAM or D-67. The user will provide the desired length of #10 (10-32 or 10-24 work fine) or 5mm bolts for the other countries, to attach this mount to their choice of the base units, due to varied dimensions of these aftermarket bases. I found that using an acorn nut makes for a great look that is rounded and safe.
To use this product the user must keep the thumb screws on the radio body tightened, prior to inserting into the mount. The mount tabs can be flexed away from the radio allowing the install and removal of the radio with thumb pressure.

The KX2 Mount is an excellent method of quickly mounting the radio to any number of commercially available mounts. It is well designed and constructed and easy to use. I use the it to quickly and firmly attach the radio to a clip board for arm chair operating which works very well.
