Description
The incredibly popular Icom IC7300 HF radio, Icom 9700 UHF&VHF radio as well as the Icom R8600 Receiver, will now have front and rear protection similar to what I do for the Elecraft Radios! these side panels will interchangeably fit the above radios as all have the same side panel design! You will need to order one set per radio. Each order will come with two side panels and (8) Screws to mount the side panel to the radio of choice.
Each set of panels are made from heat treated 7075 T6 Aluminum plate that is cut and then powder coated to match the radios case. These side panels are a simple attach without the need to remove any of the factory sides. These Side KX side panels are just like what I make for the Elecraft K-Line offering a handle to the front of the radio offering some protection to the delicate display, knobs and buttons. These side panels will also protrude to the back of the radio past the case, offering protection for the connectors on the back of the radio. The user can actually stand the radio up on end and not have the rear connectors damaged or stand it on the face to make coax connections to the rear and the front will be protected!

These are great panels for the IC-9700. I thought that the handle area would impede my ability to rotate the tuning knob, but I was mistaken. The fit and finish are very good. All holes lined up and was an easy install. –Chuck

Received my End Panels for my IC-R8600 today. Delivery was quick as order was placed just a few days ago. Product is made professionally and adds a professional look to my shack. I bought a set for my IC-7300 and loved them so much I got a set for the R8600 as well. If I get an IC-9700 I will get a third set then.
